Michelle Turnbull is the type of educator that builds relationships with students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders. She was very instrumental in building a solid special education program that supported students by providing ongoing support to teachers, administrators, and other staff members. Michelle is an excellent mentor of educators that need help working with students in special education.

Michelle Turnbull is the epitome of an outstanding Educator. My son Jalen had the pleasure of Michelle's leadership as Dean throughout middle school. Whenever I needed to address issues, Ms. Turnbull was always accommodating. She was always genuinely concerned and caring.
She understood the importance of partnering with parents to ensure a positive school environment. In addition, through collaboration with parents and teachers, Ms. Turnbull had the ability to think out of the box and provided suggestions to improve the student/teacher relationship.
We are eternally grateful to her.

I admire how fervent and lively Ms.Turnbull is. Her dynamic and passionate energy rubs off on anyone she ever crossed, encouraging them to do what they love and work up to their utmost extent. She has greatly impacted me as a student by being a substantial role model during and after being a student of hers.
As a parent, I have witnessed the thoughtfulness and dedication that Ms.Turnbull put into her work. When there was a problem brought to her attention she made it her responsibility to take care and handle it. Through her effective communication and problem solving skills she truly exhibits devotion.

I just want to say thank you for how you helped me become an NYC teacher for students of color. Because of what I learned with you, I am now a much better advocate for my students. I know that I have grown as a teacher. I can guide them if they have trust and faith in me and know I have their backs. Could not have done this without you. And I look forward to growing and learning more to make sure they are supported and have all the opportunities they deserve. I appreciate and thank you.

You came in, put your head down, and did the work. You are very smart, and you know how to get others around you to do the work as well. You just had a good attitude. What made it look easy was the ease in which you did the job. I’m one of your biggest fans. I can’t wait until you come back to Atlanta.
